Tutors and Assessors

We are desperately looking to recruit HOME TUTORS (that can offer support in Welsh, English, or in both languages) in all areas of Wales.

If you are qualified, or wish to become a HOME TUTOR, please contact our Cardigan Centre.

We already have a bank of Home Tutors in Ceredigion.  If you wish to make use of any of them, please direct your enquiry in the first instance, to our Cardigan Advice and Resource Centre.

'I attended a course run by the Wales Dyslexia last March. I am waiting for my AMBDA qualification to be sent in the post.  Last year I did an Open University course entitled "Difficulties in Literacy Development. To qualify for the AMBDA I had to teach a child with dyslexia for twenty hours and film some of the sessions. At the moment I am doing supply teaching and am hoping to get some tutoring work. I have a B.Ed honours and an MA in Special education. My present unit with the O.U. will give me an MA in Education.

DYSLECSIA CYMRU/WALES DYSLEXIA does not recommend any of the individuals on our database, but it is up to individual parents to decide which tutor they wish to have. We can provide you with a list of names, addresses and contact telephone numbers, if you wish, as you need to discuss arrangements etc direct with them.
