We can arrange for individuals to be assessed for dyslexia. There is however, a charge for this, which can be negotiated between the individual, parent etc. and the Assessor. For more information contact our Administrator by e mail: admin@welshdyslexia.org
If however, you want your child or young person to be screened, to see whether he or she is at risk of being dyslexic, or whether he/she shows dyslexic tendencies, we can arrange for this to take place at weekends at our Advice and Resources Centre,in Cardigan (by prior arrangement).
PLEASE NOTE that our screening test is a first step for you to finding out whether the individual is at risk., and is NOT A DIFINITIVE ASSESSMENT for dyslexia, which will need to be undertaken either by an Educational Psychologist or a person who has the neccessary qualification or a Preactising Certificate, to undertake this.
The Trustees have agreed at their meeting on 26th April 2008, that the standard fee for a Screening Test is £50. We can also screen your child through the medium of Welsh if you wish.
