Braces Bakery Sponsored Art & Story Writing Competitions

In a recent competition sponsored by Braces Bakery we are pleased to announce the winners in both categories and age groups.  (All winners received a gift token).

Braces Bakery Sponsored Art and Story Writing Competition for dyslexic pupils (or those with dyslexic tendencies) in  Primary and Comprehensive / Secondary Schools in Wales. 

 

                                          Winners:

 

Primary   Art  Competition …. Theme: My  School Playground.

Comprehensive / Secondary Schools Art Competition : …. 

Subject:   ‘Autumn’ .

 There were 12 entries.

 

Winner:  Ciaran Miles. (Year 9L).Ysgol Dyffryn Aman.Rhydaman/ Ammanford.

 (Runner up): Jamie Cochraine.  (Year 7) Ysgol Uwchradd y Drenewydd. Highly Commended : Eurgan Llewellyn. Ysgol Dyffryn Aman. Rhydaman (Ammanford).

Both Art competitions were judged by Janette Buss (Still Life and Landscape Artist, based in Llandygwydd, Cardigan):

 

 Comprehensive  / Secondary School Section story writing competition 

 

(Subject: 'Face to face with a Tiger’ )

This was judged by  Gwilym Dyfri Jones .Head of the Faculty for Education and Training .Trinity College Carmarthen/ Pennaeth y Gyfadran Addysg a Hyfforddiant, Coleg y Drindod, Caerfyrddin.

   

The Winner is : Kelsey Swan (Blwyddyn 8/ Year 8) Ysgol Gyfun Llanbedr Pont Steffan/ Lampeter Comprehensive School.

Runner up is : Richard Worrall.  (Blwyddyn 8/ Year 8). Ysgol Uwchradd Aberteifi / Cardigan Secondary School. ( There were 26 entries).

  

  There were 4  First prizes (for the winner in each category)  each of a £25 Book token, sponsored by Brace’s Bakery.
