Dyslecsia Cymru / Wales Dyslexia was set up as a registered charity in 2001.
The aim is to provide advice and support to dyslexic individuals and those who are having difficulties, across Wales, either through the medium of Welsh or English.
The charity is managed by a Board of Trustees, all of whom have an interest or professional involvement in education and /or dyslexia and Specific Learning Difficulties in Wales.
The Board comprises of a Chairman nominated by the Board for possessing skills considered necessary. The Chairman remains in post for a period of 3 years before re-election or the appointment of a new Chairman takes place.
There can be up to 12 individuals nominated to be Trustees or appointed by the existing Board, again due to their particular expertise being considered beneficial to the aims of the Project.

Patron: Scott Quinnell (Llanelli Scarlets, Wales and British Lions rugby international) - capped for Wales 59 times.
